Exploring Trauma-Informed Care in a High-Intensity Programme
摘要
This chapter explores trauma-informed care in a high-intensity treatment programme. Trauma-informed care (TIC) is a service delivery paradigm that incorporates evidence about the prevalence and impact of early trauma on behaviour across the lifespan. Trauma-informed treatment integrates data about trauma into practices that promote respect for clients, encourage self-determination, and facilitate the rebuilding of healthy relational skills to replace maladaptive survival skills that developed in the face of childhood adversities.
