Meaning in Public Policy Approaches: Discursive Practices, Emotions, and Political Power
摘要
Over the last few decades, different policy approaches have emerged that analyze policy and grasp policy processes differently by focusing on the meaning dimension. These approaches reject the dominance of rational choicerational choice theorytheory(ies) for policy analysispolicyanalysisanalysis and the positivist perspective for policy processes. They reject the illusion of objective knowledge for and on policy and take the construction of policy knowledge, the subjectivity of policymakerspolicymaker, and the role of their discursive practices seriously. They therefore produce meaning to help grasp the world and interact with others.
