It outlines the French legal provisions regulating financial agents and brokers and highlights the role of ORIAS (Organization for the Register of Insurance, Banking and Finance Intermediaries) and the ACPR (Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution). The chapter discusses the licensing requirements, including competence and transparency obligations. It highlights France’s emphasis on consumer protection, the role of professional conduct codes, and the structure of the domestic law.
