Obesity and Oral Health
摘要
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that approximately one-third of the global population is affected by obesity, with a notable increase among adolescents and young adults. This condition arises from a complex interplay of genetic predisposition, environmental influences and lifestyle choices. Recent research has uncovered a compelling link between obesity and oral health, demonstrating how excess weight can exacerbate or predispose individuals to various oral health issues. This chapter discusses the impact of obesity on oral health.
