Impact of Renewable Fuels on Chemical Energy Release and Power Boosting in Vehicle Powertrains and Cogeneration Powerplants
摘要
This study explores renewable fuels (e-fuels) as alternatives to conventional fuels in vehicle powertrains and cogeneration plants. Analyzed fuels include hydrogen, ammonia, biomethane, and dual-fuel mixtures, with a focus on lean combustion and turbocharging. Experimental and simulation methods evaluate ignition, heat release, and efficiency under high boost pressures. Findings highlight the potential of e-fuels to enhance grid stability and reduce dependency on fossil fuels, while addressing production and transport challenges. Results support the transition to sustainable energy systems in transportation and power generation.
