While inpatient neuropsychological evaluations are commonplace, practices vary in terms of their application and reimbursement. Some of these differences reflect the diversity of care settings, while others arise from business-specific factors, such as whether services are reimbursed separately from per diem charges or contractual arrangements. Unfortunately, little information has been published so far on the business of inpatient neuropsychological services. This chapter serves to fill a void in the literature by reviewing inpatient neuropsychology models across different settings, best practices for billing, potential limitations for generating revenue, program development, and how to market neuropsychology services to administrators and stakeholders so that they are valued and supported.

摘要
