This chapter concentrates on the external ramifications that the ongoing war in Ukraine has been exerting on the domestic politics of Estonia and Latvia. Particular attention is paid to the (national conservative) party of the National Alliance/NA in Latvia and to the (radical right-wing) Estonian Conservative People’s Party/EKRE in Estonia. Of great interest is to highlight how these parties interact with the major political actors inside their national contexts and discern the deeper motives behind the ostensibly diverging stances of EKRE and NA regarding the war in Ukraine.
