Overview
摘要
An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft operated through radio remote control or onboard programmed devices, capable of pilotless flight. Drones may operate entirely or partly through autonomous onboard computers. They are commonly categorized into multi-rotor, fixed-wing, helicopter, and tilt-rotor types. For instance, multi-rotor drones like DJI’s Phantom and Mavic series enable vertical lift and precise hovering with multiple rotors. Conversely, fixed-wing drones such as North America’s Predator and Global Hawk operate similarly to traditional airplanes, which are ideal for long-range missions and efficient surveillance. The drone types also include parachute drones, flapping wing drones, and unmanned airships. Over the years, the extensive application of drones in various global sectors has garnered significant attention and led to the advancement of diverse and multifunctional drone technologies by governments, academic entities, and commercial industries.
