Introducing Environmental Education Skills: Analysis of Stakeholders’ Perceptions
摘要
This chapter explores the challenges and prospects of introducing environmental education skills into the Moroccan elementary school curriculum. We employ an interdisciplinary approach and a qualitative methodology, analyzing and transcribing statements. This study analyzes the perceptions of educational stakeholders and proposes perspectives for assessing cross-curricular competencies in Education for Sustainable Development in the Moroccan primary cycle. The data analysis enabled us to extract three dimensions of cross-curricular competencies related to environmental education and sustainable development. The results highlight the importance of a systemic, integrated approach to raising students’ awareness of environmental issues and fostering eco-responsible behavior. The chapter concludes with prospects for effective implementation of environmental education in the Moroccan education system.
