Certification of Space Transport and Standards for the Training of Crew and Space Tourists as One of the Promising Legal Mechanisms for Ensuring Flight Safety
摘要
The author considers the process of space tourism commercialization, shows the contribution of Russian cosmonautics to the cooperation of states, outlines the role of the Roscosmos Corporation as a reliable guarantor of the safety of participants in space flights, and substantiates the position on the need for a systemic restructuring of international legislation in the field of outer space. The conclusions were drawn on the observance of strict safety standards not only for space equipment and facilities from the moment of design to production and training launches, regardless of whether the flight is carried out by a private corporation or by the state. The need for further international legal regulation of selection criteria for flight participants and certification of their pre-flight training was noted.
