Urinary incontinence is twice as common in women compared to men. This chapter utilises case examples of females presenting with overactive bladder symptoms, stress incontinence, mixed incontinence and associated pelvic organ prolapse to illustrate the principles of assessment and management of these conditions. The roles of conservative management, pharmacological and surgical treatments are discussed including impact of pelvic organ prolapse and sexual dysfunction.

Urinary incontinence is twice as common in women compared to men.
