Lymphedema management involves a comprehensive approach to reducing swelling and improving patients’ quality of life. A multidisciplinary team is involved in all aspects of care. The protocol typically includes Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which is divided into two phases: intensive and maintenance. The vascular team manages phlebolymphedema, while plastic and reconstructive surgery manage aspects of advanced stages of the disease. Our protocol includes initial workup, treatment, and monitoring.
