Mentoring Teachers and Caregivers in Sub-Saharan Africa to Improve Children’s Outcomes
摘要
High-quality mentorship programs in low- and middle-income countries have the potential to have significant impacts on a variety of key health and educational outcomes. In this chapter, mentorship programs in sub-Saharan Africa are discussed, and ideas about how professional mentorship might look in settings with limited resources and high levels of adversity are proposed. Recommendations are provided regarding the delivery of professional mentorship programs in low-resource settings based on learnings from the delivery of the Education for Protection and Well-being (EPW) program within several African countries.
