Both EEG and qEEG can be applied to most brain pathologies, of course, beyond epilepsy. Although there are no specific numerical characteristics defined for all pathologies, the presence of spectral or synchronization abnormalities can be of great importance for diagnosis. Furthermore, the use of numerical values is very important in sequenced follow-up studies. In this chapter, we present three previously unexamined pathologies for which qEEG can be very useful. We will show cases of qEEG during a migraine attack and during a baseline state without aura or headache. We also show two examples of patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus and, finally, a highly abnormal case of EEG, corresponding to a case of medically unexplained physical symptoms. In all these cases, very well-defined anomalies of numerical magnitudes are observed, which clearly aid in the diagnosis.

摘要
