The strongest version of eliminativism does not engage with metaphysical puzzles arising from the manifest image, as these puzzles depend on concepts that lack meaningful counterparts in a quantum mechanical description of the world. Instead, philosophers who advocate for eliminativism should focus on developing a metaphysics of quantum mechanics if they still wish to address metaphysical problems. Drawing on existing deflationary views, it is argued that metaphysics ought to prioritise relationships and structures over mere existence. Understanding the connections and interactions between entities offers a more meaningful and robust metaphysical framework than merely cataloging what exists. While eliminativism offers a useful depiction of reality from the perspective of fundamental physics, its scope is too limited to be considered as a complete metaphysical theory of material reality.
