摘要
Feedback is essential for improvement. This chapter explores the role of formative feedback in PBL for health profession students. Effective formative feedback in PBL is characterized by respectful dialogue, engaging students in self-assessment, linking learning objectives to observable outcomes, being specific and non-judgmental, timely delivery, and providing actionable recommendations for improvement. This chapter also delves into feedback timing, discussing the benefits of both immediate and periodic feedback in PBL. It is crucial to emphasize the importance of diversified yet specific feedback in PBL. Constructive and positive feedback is essential in motivating students to improve, with specificity in feedback being crucial for enhancing performance.
