Malignancies and Pregnancy
摘要
Although it is a relatively rare and difficult condition, cancer during pregnancy must be identified and treated promptly. Not only are the standards of care for the underlying disease taken into account, but fetal safety may also be weighted for maternal clinical decisions. Frequent lack of experience and knowledge about this condition may lead to late diagnosis, inaccurate management, suboptimal treatment, and potential harm to the fetus and the mother. Moreover, there are complex medical and ethical dilemmas for patients and providers to consider.
