Interactive Gloves for Real-Time Gesture Translation
摘要
A better way of communicating with people who are deaf or have a hearing impairment is sign language, which is, in turn, difficult for common people to understand, making it challenging for them to communicate. The better way to communicate is sign language that involves the systematic combination of different shapes, movement of body parts such as hands, arms, and also by facial expressions. However, in the present world, when there is a necessity to communicate with people involved in various educational, social, and professional environments, using sign languages is not very effective. Therefore, there is an immediate need for the development of a system that is focused on gesture recognition and the detection of sign language. The system allows users to convey predefined messages through hand gestures detected by flex sensors embedded in the gloves.
