This chapter explores DC analysis of npn and pnp bipolar junction transistors (BJTs), focusing on their operation across four distinct regions. Special attention is given to circuits operating in the forward-active region that is crucial for amplifier applications. As a practical example, the power dissipation of a BJT circuit is analyzed. A SPICE simulation is provided to illustrate key concepts.
