Different Approaches and Sites of Injection in Office-Based Laryngeal Steroid Injection
摘要
The reform in laryngology practice from the operating room to the office has allowed surgeons to perform various laryngeal procedures for the treatment of structural, neurologic, and functional voice disorders. These procedures include injection laryngoplasty, laryngeal biopsy, laser therapy, and laryngeal injection of various pharmaceutical agents, including corticosteroids. The most commonly used approaches in laryngeal steroid injection are the peroral approach, the transnasal approach, and the percutaneous approach. The percutaneous approach can be performed through the thyrohyoid membrane, the cricothyroid membrane, and thyroid cartilage.
