Office-Based Steroid Injection for Vocal Fold Scars and Fibrovascular Masses
摘要
Vocal fold scar is a common cause of dysphonia that merits special consideration. The etiology is diverse, with the most common cause being injury to the deep structures of the vocal fold following micro-laryngeal surgery. Other causes of vocal fold scar include infectious diseases, inflammatory disorders, neoplastic lesions, and congenital malformations [1]. Blunt or penetrating trauma to the larynx may also result in vocal fold injury and scarring by severing the layered structure of the vocal fold.
