Noise Level Analysis in the City of Zadar
摘要
Noise pollution is a growing concern with significant implications for human health and quality of life. It is recognized as the second leading environmental cause of health issues in Europe. To raise public awareness and monitor noise pollution, noise maps, action plans, and various dynamic cartographic representations are developed. This study analyses noise levels in the city of Zadar based on measurements conducted from February to June 2024. To assess variations in noise levels over time, corresponding maps were generated. The findings indicate that human activity, hospitality establishments, and construction work are the primary contributors to urban noise. In February and March, construction activity and adverse weather conditions had the most significant impact, whereas, in the spring months, the influence of hospitality venues and tourists became more pronounced.
