The article is devoted to the issues of recreating works of art that cannot be demonstrated due to poor preservation using modern technologies, for the most complete immersion of the exhibition viewer in the artist’s work. As an example, the experience of using video projections, 3D visualizations, audio content in organizing an exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the Leningrad artist August Lanin is considered. The idea of the exhibition project was to reconstruct some of the author’s works and organically integrate these objects into the exhibition space with the artist’s original paintings, graphics, and sculptures. Multimedia exhibits helped to attract the attention of the modern viewer to the author’s heritage and diverse interaction with it in the atmosphere of the exhibition.
