The article emphasizes the important role of hedging in our study as they are important resources in marking the epistemic stance. Our goal is to investigate the ambiguities in the content analyses which were created and manipulated by hedges in Azerbaijani fairy tales. For restraining uncertainty and understanding the hidden meanings of the information, conveyed by hedges and we tried to focus on it with our students. We could motivate the students to be more imaginative and broad-minded in analyses of the content of the tale and create their own stories according to the questions. They tried to make their claim more accurately and cautiously by highlighting different hedges as linguistic variables and keep changes in the meaning of the text.
