Automatic Control System for Direct Current Electric Drive Based on Fuzzy Logic

A fuzzy automatic control system for a direct current electric drive with independent excitation based on fuzzy logic is presented, taking into account possible uncertainties of the object. The article proposes a system and algorithm for controlling the speed of a direct current electric drive with independent excitation using the theory of fuzzy sets. During the operation of the model under study, the transient processes of the speed of models of direct current electric drives with fuzzy and classical controllers were obtained. The use of fuzzy control methods made it possible to obtain a high-quality transient speed process for a model of a direct current electric drive with a fuzzy controller without using labor-intensive computational procedures. Overshoot in a fuzzy control system is less than in a system with classical control.
