Shadows on the Screen: Crystallising Images of Violence
摘要
This chapter begins by exploring the psychosocial category of social representation, following the assumptions of Denise Jodelet and her followers. The study focuses on the convergence in social science around the category of social representation, the types of representations and the coexistences between representations and social context. The image of violence in selected Latin American films is delineated through audiovisual categories such as temporality, location, characters and action.
