Blockchain is a complex technology grounded in advanced cryptography, decentralization, and cybersecurity principles. However, its widespread influence calls for future generations, not just technical experts, to understand its foundational concepts. This paper presents a workshop introducing high school learners to blockchain fundamentals through a hands-on, game-based approach based on “Blockchain at School”. The study compares self-reported knowledge gains with objectively measured scores from a post-workshop questionnaire to assess the learning impact. The analysis of the collected data and statistically significant findings demonstrates that the proposed approach effectively engages learners with this complex technology, making it an invaluable tool for accessible and engaging learning.
