This qualitative study presents ‘Parentalidade na Ciência’ (Parenting in Science), an application designed to support Brazilian scientist mothers through a participatory design approach. Grounded in Design Thinking principles and a comprehensive literature review, this project addresses the pressing need for technological solutions that consider the challenges of balancing motherhood and academic careers. The application aims to disseminate information on rights, provide tutorials for integrating maternity data into platforms like Lattes and Sucupira, and foster support and collaboration networks. Initial prototype validation, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), demonstrated high acceptance and and identified potential for further improvements. This work contributes to the Grand Challenges in Human-Computer Interaction in Brazil (GranDIHC-BR), promoting technologies committed to social justice and inclusion by fostering a more equitable academic environment for scientist mothers.

摘要
