Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement
摘要
Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a potentially life-threatening condition and poses a significant clinical challenge for both clinical and interventional cardiologists. While traditionally managed through medical therapy and surgery, transcatheter therapies have emerged as a promising alternative, particularly for patients with prohibitive surgical risk due to advanced age or comorbidities. Transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) is gaining attention as a viable solution for patients with TR, supported by positive clinical data across a wide range of anatomies and clinical scenarios. However, the adoption of TTVR brings its own set of challenges, including limited long-term clinical data, risks of valve thrombosis, concerns about the durability of implanted valves, and an increased likelihood of postprocedural pacemaker (PM) implantation.
