Several devices have been developed over the past 20 years to achieve transcatheter treatment of mitral regurgitation. Among these, technologies which target direct leaflet approximation have been particularly fortunate. TEER is the most frequent transcatheter mitral intervention performed worldwide, thanks to its versatility and good outcomes. Transcatheter chordal repair represents a promising opportunity to expand the treatment options for patients affected by MR, especially in its percutaneous form. A multidisciplinary Heart-Team approach is key to provide each patient a tailored personalized therapy.
