Future Challenges: Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation for Pure Aortic Regurgitation
摘要
This chapter explores the rationale, benefits and challenges of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for the treatment for native pure aortic regurgitation (NPAR). The epidemiology, natural history and current management of NPAR will be discussed. Evidence pertaining to TAVI for NPAR with non-dedicated devices, both early- and new-generation, and new-generation dedicated devices will be finally examined.
