Digital Infrastructure for Psychological Counseling Services in Higher Education: Opportunities and Prospects
摘要
Digital technologies have become an integral part of modern society. They are widely used not only for communication, entertainment, and education but also in addressing professional challenges. Increasingly, digital tools are being employed by educators and psychologists in the field of education to provide psychological support to students. To explore the specifics of digital platform usage by psychologists in higher education, a study was conducted examining their experience with various digital tools (platforms and services). To achieve the research objectives, a questionnaire was developed, covering aspects such as the experience of using platforms and services in professional practice, their advantages, drawbacks, and technical limitations. The study sample included 14 universities participating in the pilot testing of a psychological service model within the higher education system of the Russian Federation. The findings revealed the prevalence of digital platforms and services as tools in psychologists’ professional work, along with the most commonly used forms of implementation, key benefits, and limitations. The results of the study will contribute to more effective integration of digital technologies into the professional practice of psychologists.
