Across cultures and time people have sought refuge within and consultation from the natural world. How we share our experiences and our individual realizations after these experiences are shared in stories. Stories connect across generations, cultures, and landscapes, and often touch on the deeply personal and the universal. In this chapter, I share a bit of how I developed my relationship with the natural world and my own experiences going to the natural world to consult on the next phase of my life. Through storytelling I hope to communicate the narrative and the emotion.
