A New Tool for Obsolescence Management: Preliminary Study of Stakeholder Needs
摘要
Obsolescence, whether undergone or sometimes provoked, is an inescapable aspect of everyday life, and crucial for companies. As part of the ANR “EOS” project, the authors are working on a platform dedicated to managing this obsolescence, called COBRA “Control of OBsolescence and its Risk Assessment”. This platform aims to provide companies with an effective tool for anticipating, monitoring and managing the issues associated with their obsolete products and technologies. This article presents a preliminary study aimed at determining manufacturers’ expectations of this tool, by analyzing the obsolescence management ecosystem and assessing current solutions on the market. A questionnaire was distributed to 35 organizations to gather their specific needs and identify the essential functionalities sought in a dedicated platform. This approach aims to guide the development of the platform so that it best meets the real needs of the market and the stakeholders involved.
