As business organizations strive to be competitive in dynamic markets, knowledge of the underpinning derived innovation capacity for continued success becomes very important. In this respect, the present study sets out to investigate the most determinant dimensions of administrative innovation, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and prediction, upon competitive advantage in the industrial sector in Jordan. The quantitative nature of this research has utilized self-administered questionnaires targeting top-tier and middle management of industrial corporations listed on ASE. Using SEM to analyze the results, it was seen that prediction and flexibility were those factors which influenced the competitive advantage the most, closely followed by fluency and originality. Indeed, it would seem from these results that the organization which encourages creative problem-solving and adapts is in a better position to gain a competitive advantage. This research has countless lessons for organizational leaders on fostering creativity and forward-looking practices that would point the way towards long-term success in highly competitive markets. The implications of this research serve to underscore how innovation is important to sustaining competitiveness and provide strategic guidance for managers in the direction of improving the creative capabilities of their organization.
