Digital transformation in the healthcare industry has propelled it to an unprecedented likelihood of cloud computing platforms for storing and analyzing data. This research explores the critical intersection of data security, privacy preservation, and analytical capability in healthcare cloud environments. This study identifies key challenges and also promising solutions to protect sensitive healthcare data and yet allows its use for analysis, through a comprehensive analysis of current literature and industry practices. From our findings, we find that secure data analysis is possible without depriving confidentiality, with the help of innovative technologies like homomorphic encryption and federated learning.
