The article considers issues of the establishment of the Ukrainian Centre for Parallel Simulation Technologies in Donetsk National Technical University (Ukraine) and its current functioning, defines the main directions of the Centre’s work. As an example of the Centre’s research activities, an example of solving the problem of parallel modelling of a technical system is presented to ensure the design of distributed parallel modelling environments for performing parallel modelling of complex dynamic systems, taking into account the capabilities and technical features of the computing MIMD-cluster provided to the Ukrainian university by the High Performance Computing Centre Stuttgart (HLRS).
