The Presigmoid Approach
摘要
The presigmoid approach is a surgical technique used to access lesions in the cerebellopontine angle, petroclival region, and adjacent areas of the skull base. This approach involves creating a corridor anterior to the sigmoid sinus and posterior to the petrous part of the temporal bone, allowing surgeons to reach both the middle and posterior cranial fossae, facilitating the resection of complex lesions, such as petroclival meningiomas of cerebellopontine angle tumors [1, 2].
