This chapter explores transdisciplinary methodology as a foundation for reforming contemporary legal education, starting from the fundamental texts. The distinction between traditional and innovative methods leads to the argument that transdisciplinarity, as a deliberate exercise, offers a coherent alternative for developing critical and reflexive competences in a context marked by digitalisation, diversity and normative volatility. The methodological principles from the Charter of Transdisciplinarity (1994) and other key CIRET–UNESCO documents are examined and adapted to the field of law. These theoretical values are followed by the practical applications presented in the next chapter, which discusses cases from criminal, civil, constitutional and international law, demonstrating the potential of transdisciplinarity to transform legal research into an engaging, relational, and socially relevant endeavour.
