Currently, dysphagia has become some problems in many countries around the world as the population ages. Aging and the diseases that cause it are extremely diverse, and various medical professionals such as otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery, neurology, respiratory medicine, pediatrics, dental and oral surgery, and rehabilitation are involved, thus requiring interprofessional collaboration. 摘要

In addition, healthcare management to prevent dysphagia is also important. Rehabilitation medicine requires systems engineering that means multidisciplinary approaches and methods. Until now, research and development of medical devices has often been carried out individually for each device, and the accumulated knowledge and technology has not been shared, leading to inefficiency. Physiological data integration system is demanded to consolidate research and development knowledge and processes and organize into usable data. At first, this chapter provide an overview of recent clinical research in the field of swallowing diagnosis and treatment. Next, it focuses on diagnostic support systems, rehabilitation systems, and healthcare systems related to swallowing. We introduce “System of Systems in Medical diagnosis and Healthcare for dysphagia” that can concentrate some systems individually managed. The system combined cyberspace and the physical world in complex medical fields is extremely useful, and is expected to balance the development of medical engineering systems with social issues.
