Women around the world have been experiencing systemic barriers for centuries. Only in recent decades have many women gained access to employment, education, and personal autonomy. Feminism challenges long-standing and prevalent social norms and drives real progress toward gender equality. While we have to admit that there have been victories, hard-won and meaningful, the pursuit of gender equality is far from over.
