In the last decade, the urgent necessity to improve digital capabilities and expertise has clearly emerged within the framework of a digital society. The aim is to ensure that its key insights can be improved to advance safety strategies associated with strategic decision making. The incorporation of digital abilities and knowledge can be realized through a strong comprehension paired with a dedication to practical consistency. This paper aims to investigate methods for reinforcing the strategic balance between digital skills and competence to create a route that improves safety strategies related to strategic decision-making. The systematic literature review was carried out according to the number of reviewed articles, including journals, books, proceedings, and chapters relevant to the discipline. The finding suggests that improving digital competence and skills to bolster the safety strategy in strategic decision making should include expanding knowledge comprehension, showcasing practical skills, and ensuring a dedication to continuous development. This study seeks to offer strategic benefits by improving knowledge growth about digital competencies and skills to support safety measures in relation to strategic decision-making. Moreover, this paper might also be recommended to scholars, stakeholders, and professionals in the cybersecurity field.
