Using Design Thinking and Bringing Ideas to Life
摘要
This chapter begins by exploring the value of design thinking in creating mental health interventions. Drawing on a critical review of existing online health products and apps—as well as academic literature reviewed in earlier chapters—we detail how this material has informed our work. In the second half of the chapter, we reflect on the practical experience of developing the prototype in partnership with five young women in collaboration with the project’s website designer. We also examine gendered preferences for digital design, young users’ experiences with digital mental health interventions, and how user experience (UX) and mental well-being intersect in this unique context.
