Purpose—This study aims to explore women leaders’ unique perspectives and approaches to leadership within the context of digital transformation and design environments. It investigates their strategies for leveraging conflict as an opportunity for creativity and innovation, examines the influence of gender on leadership in the realm of digital transformation with a focus on women leaders, and considers the role of emotional intelligence in enhancing team and leader performance. Design/Methodology—A systematic literature review was conducted based on full-text articles issued mostly from 2020 to 2024 with exceptions to four older studies. Findings—The study underscores that women leaders in design environments play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation by bringing unique qualities such as collaborative and inclusive leadership styles, adept conflict management skills, and high emotional intelligence. It uncovers the importance of such qualities for successful organizational change in the digital era. Limitations—The study is limited by its reliance solely on Google Scholar, a restricted timeframe, a small sample size, and narrow research keywords. It overlooks potential cultural and contextual factors that could impact women’s leadership experiences. Originality/Value—It adds value by showcasing the importance of leveraging women’s unique leadership qualities, particularly emotional intelligence, in enhancing team dynamics, creativity, and organizational effectiveness.
