From Home to Boardroom: Reframing Women’s Dual Roles in the GCC Through Stakeholder Satisfaction Theory
摘要
This study conducts a systematic literature review of how Bahraini women balance work and family life. Using role theory and the stakeholder satisfaction framework, it integrates the body of literature on societal norms, institutional policies, and the changing gender relations within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This study analyzes the few existing Bahraini women’s socio-cultural, legal, and structural barriers and develops a conceptual model to explain stakeholder satisfaction in both domains. The findings of this review support strategies aimed at gender equity and increasing women’s involvement in national development work.
