All conventions state international obligations state the need to correct inequality and eliminate discrimination against women at all levels, especially political ones. In addition, it calls to ensure their fairness and representation in political positions and participation in political life, more specifically by activating the role of legislation in achieving this end. This is achieved through constitutional legislation and party laws, where the importance of the study highlights the role of legislation in supporting women’s political participation and how these legislations worked to achieve this goal. To address the main research problem—demonstrating the effectiveness of these legislations in achieving an active political role for women in my country of study—and in order to fulfill the study’s objective, the researcher will divide the study into two main parts: first, examining the legislative foundations of women’s right to participate in political life; and second, exploring the mechanisms that ensure women’s effective engagement in political life. The study concluded that the role of legislation that guaranteed women their political rights was important, and that this legislation was extended at an effective pace that allowed and strengthened women’s political role.
