This paper studies the evolving role of women in entrepreneurial leadership in pursuing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, utilizing a narrative literature review and presenting relevant data. This paper takes a closer look at the various cultural, legal, institutional, and economic challenges and opportunities, providing valuable insights to boost the impact of women entrepreneurs. It also emphasizes empowering women entrepreneurs in vital areas such as innovation, gender equity, and sustainable economic diversification. This is particularly relevant to SDG1, as women’s entrepreneurship is crucial in driving economic development and job creation, ultimately reducing poverty and fostering long-term economic growth, aligning with SDG8. Furthermore, women entrepreneurs establish enterprises that address social and environmental issues, directly contributing to quality education (SDG4), gender equality (SDG5), and industrial innovation (SDG9). Moreover, empowering women entrepreneurs reduces Inequality in SDG10, leading to sustainable cities and communities in SDG11.
