This study examines the role of women in IT governance and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in shaping effective IT governance structures in Bahrain. The growing role of women in executive leadership has prompted scholars and practitioners to explore their influence on organizational performance, innovation, and governance structures. Simultaneously, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IT governance frameworks are considered a strategic necessity for organizations aiming to achieve operational excellence and sustain competitive advantage in an increasingly digital world. This study investigates the strategic role of women in executive IT governance and the integration of AI into IT governance structures. Special emphasis is placed on the presence and influence of women in senior IT leadership positions and their contributions to enhancing governance effectiveness in the context of digital transformation. This study aims to identify key factors that contribute to the effective development and implementation of IT governance structures in Bahrain. The research addresses the following two questions: How does the integration of Artificial Intelligence influence the effectiveness of IT governance, and how do women leaders contribute to this process? What is the role of women in shaping and enhancing IT governance structures within Bahraini organizations?.
