This paper presents the application of distributed fiber optical sensing for monitoring temperature, strain and stress histories on real structures under construction site conditions. The specific application is a tunnel cross-section with semi-massive dimensions. As a special feature, these measurements begin with the concrete pouring and are carried out over several years into the service period of the tunnel. In addition to background information on the measurement technology used, the layout of the measurement program and the specific application case, the paper also reports about the utilization of the measurement technology under construction site conditions as well as the measurement results obtained to date, including a simple consistency check.

摘要

This paper presents the application of distributed fiber optical sensing for monitoring temperature, strain and stress histories on real structures under construction site conditions. The specific application is a tunnel cross-section with semi-massive dimensions. As a special feature, these measurements begin with the concrete pouring and are carried out over several years into the service period of the tunnel. In addition to background information on the measurement technology used, the layout of the measurement program and the specific application case, the paper also reports about the utilization of the measurement technology under construction site conditions as well as the measurement results obtained to date, including a simple consistency check.
