Through the lens of a values-based curriculum, it explores how experiences of compassion, empathy and emotional intelligence contribute to fostering a compassionate and kind culture within midwifery. Real-world examples of midwifery education are used to illustrate the potential impact on students’ future careers, care provision and their ability to support future learners once they are qualified. Readers are encouraged to be honest with themselves to achieve a truly reflective personal development plan for use as the future ‘me’.
